The synthesis of the nanomaterials is now nearing completion, with the last of them expected by February. The partners involved in this synthesis have now begun shipping the materials out to the laboratories that will characterise them. These laboratories will be applying and testing dispersion protocols as well as developing standard operation procedures (SOPs) such as dynamic light scattering for the characterisation of the nanomaterial dispersion.

This process is expected to take around one to two weeks, after which the nanomaterials with the corresponding dispersion procedures and characterisation SOPs will be sent to the partners performing the toxicological experiments.
