Anna Shvedova named Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher

photoNANOSOLUTIONS is proud to congratulate Professor Anna A. Shvedova founder and past president of Dermal Toxicology Specialty Section/SOT and a key member of WP6 on the news that she has been named a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher.

Prof Shvedova received several SOT awards for mentoring women in toxicology field and  communication for brining awareness of toxicology to public. She is managing editor of special 2016 Nanotoxicology issue  at TAAP serving as the associate editor for TAAP for over 15 years.

Thomson Reuters aims to recognise and support excellence in the scholarly community, carefully analysing citation data over an 11-year period using Thomson Reuters Web of ScienceTM and InCitesTM to identify some of the best and brightest scientific minds of our time.

Professor Shvedova was selected as a highly-cited Researcher due to the number of citations she received for work she has published in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

Professor Shvedova has said that she is extremely happy that her work has been recognised and she is enjoying working on mechanisms of toxic outcomes caused by pulmonary exposure to crystalline and fibrous Nanocellulose.   Prof Shvedova is continuing to work closely in collaboration with Kai Savolainen and Bengt Fadeel, travelling between Helsinki and Stockholm.
