The Materials-Biology Interactions Lab (MBI) is a research unit of Empa which studies the potential use and risks of (nano)materials for human health. 20 researchers are active in fields of medical implants-cell intearctions, development of cellular systems and monitoring tools for the characterization and identification of potential risk of newly developed (nano)materials.
